Isuzu

Isuzu first vehicle in 1922 was an English A9 Wolseley while the CP truck followed in 1924. This was the first commercial vehicle for which Isuzu is primarily known. In 2005 Isuzu was the world’s largest builder of medium and heavy trucks. Also its fame as a manufacture of diesel engines can be appreciated when by 2003 over 16 million Isuzu diesel engines can be found in vehicles throughout the world.  

The Isuzu record in manufacturing cars is not good and mainly small vehicles were built. In 1967 the Isuzu Florian, an intermediate size passenger car was produced and the model along with the Isuzu 117 Coupe continued until 1983. There was more success with SUVs like the Trooper, Rodeo, Axium and the 2008 Ascender.
